Fury Captain Keith Bunyan produced his best performance of what has been a frustrating start to the season for him and his team. With 5 threes and 18pts Bunyan fuelled a third quarter charge that took Fury 22pts clear. While at just 3-3 for the season, the win has put Fury to the top of the Championship table. Bulgarian Boris Matrakov, once again led Fury with a game high 26pts personal.

Having played 2 more games then second placed Kings
( 4-0), who they lost by 4pts to last week, Fury will now face the only other unbeaten team in the title race next Friday, St.Mirren, who sit at 3-0.
The match against Glasgow University last night at Grangemouth SC was played in front of a large enthusiastic home crowd and despite Fury on several occasions carving out big leads – at one time 22pts , the student side made Fury fight right to the final whistle. Other double figure scorers for the Falkirk side were Austrian Adam Hammerschmidt on 14 and centre Ross Gibson on 12.
Fury had started the game well with a 21-11 lead at the end of the first period. However a second period tied at 15 apiece meant Fury were by no means home and dry.
A third quarter, that saw Bunyan hit 3 of his threes,it was the crucial period as Fury pushed clear into what seemed a lead that would not be beaten. But credit to the University side as they refused to give up and in a tense finish Fury just held out for a 6pt win that means next week’s match against St.Mirren will be huge for both clubs.
