FURY HIT 21 THREES AS THEY DOWN SAINTS!!
SONY CENTRE FURY 104 ST.MIRREN 73
Scottish Championship Division 1 – Senior Men

7 threes from Lithuanian teenager Eddy Leginus
( 23 pts) and 6 from Austrian Adam Hammerschmidt (24pts) were part of a 3 point shooting blitz that saw the Falkirk side take an emphatic 31 point win on the road against title challengers St.Mirren, This was one of Fury’s biggest wins over the Paisley side as captain Keith Bunyan (3) , Bryan Munnoch (3), Daniel Tran (1) and Ali Fraser (1) recorded possibly the highest
3 point haul in Scottish basketball history.
Fury surged out to a 25-15 first quarter lead and never looked back ending with 7 threes in the final quarter. GB star Ali Fraser hit 16 points as fury spread the floor to create opportunities for their downtown marksmen! Leginus and Munnoch controlled the game with 18 year old Daniel Tran again having solid minutes and showing why he should have been in Scotland’s Junior Euro B side.
With Greek forward Greg Foussas working tirelessly at both ends of the floor, Ross Gibson added to the Sony sponsored sides control of the boards.
Fury Headcoach John Bunyan told Heraldsport
“ This was one of our strongest ever performances against Saints and the quality of play, in particular our 3 point shooting was outstanding . Adam and Eddy were exceptional. To hit 21 out of 40 attempts from behind the arc gave us an incredible 52%. But this was a performance that comes from solid practice sessions and the credit for the win goes to all 17 of our squad “.
The win gives Fury a 2-0 start to the season and puts them joint top of the Championship table.
