Glasgow Rocks 75 (22, 40, 56)(Hall 20, Grabau 14, Bunyan 13)
Leeds Force 74 (17, 37, 53)(Klassen 21, Bullard 14, Waller 13)

More late heroics from Kieron Achara inflicted a heart-breaking 75-74 defeat on Leeds Force and capped a dramatic evening at Emirates Arena on Friday.

The Great Britain forward connected on a two-point jump shot with just six seconds on the clock to give Rocks a fifth win in six games.

It was the cruellest of conclusions for Matt Newby’s men, who had trailed by 15 points with five minutes remaining before Marek Klassen exploded for 10 points in four mintues.

Armand Anebo then nailed a three-pointer to give Force an unlikely lead before Achara took matters into his own hands – not for the first time this season.

The defeat not only knocks the stuffing out of Leeds, but means they missed the chance to draw level on points with eighth-placed Cheshire Phoenix.

Klassen finished with a game-high 21 points and will hope to carry that form into Wednesday’s Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Sharks.

Rocks were paced by 20 points from former Force forward Will Hall, and continue their climb up the standings, joining fourth-placed Sharks on 30 points, albeit having played two more games.
