London Lions 71 (16,39,55) (Oyedeji/Owumi 14, Lewis 12)
Glasgow Rocks 84 (29,50,73) (Ware 19, Gillis 12, Clarke/Bunyan 11)

Glasgow Rocks cemented their spot in the top four of the BBL Championship with an 84-71 win on the road at London Lions.

Sterling Davis’ side raced out of the blocks in a 15-4 start and they would never trail throughout as six players hit double figures in the win.

Marcus Ware finished with 19 points including 10 in the opening period, while Warren Gillis added 12 points and there were 11 points apiece for Jonny Bunyan and Jordan Clarke.

After their dominant start, the Rocks led by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter after back-to-back triples from Bunyan, before the home side produced a late rally.

Having fallen down by double figures early on, the Lions could only get within nine early on in the third as Glasgow controlled their advantage.

The loss marks the second of the weekend for the Lions and fourth straight in all competitions as they fall to a 6-7 mark.

New signing Alex Owumi scored 14 points in his first game at the Copper Box Arena, while Olumide Oyedeji also had 14 on 6-of-6 shooting from the field.

Glasgow claim the head-to-head series against London and have now won six straight over their opponents.
