Rocks fall victim to Shark attack 90-62

Sheffield Sharks ended their wait for a first win in the BBL Championship this season as they recorded a 90-62 road win at Glasgow Rocks.

TJ Robinson put up impressive numbers with 23 points on 11-of-13 shooting from inside the arc as well as a mammoth 19 rebounds including nine on the offensive end.

Jerrold Brooks dished out six assists to go with his 20-point haul, while Mike Tuck grabbed 12 boards alongside nine points to help his side claim a first win in four league games.

After an even opening period, the Sharks pulled away with a dominant second quarter and never looked back.

Atiba Lyons’ side established a double-digit advantage with a 13-0 run early on in the second as they held the Rocks to just eight points in the period.

The lead continued to grow in the second half as a 13-4 burst from the Sharks took their advantage beyond the 20-point mark towards the end of the third.

There was no way back for the Rocks as they suffered their first home league defeat of the season. Kieron Achara top scored for the home side with 15 points.
